Through Their Eyes
A Student Art Exhibition
June 2026
This exhibition features artworks created by children I taught through Breakfree ArtVenture. Many of these students come from communities where children may not always have enough space to express their emotions, stories, and imagination. Through art, I hoped to create a safe and encouraging environment where each child could feel seen, heard, and valued.
The purpose of this exhibition is to give students a meaningful space to share their work beyond the classroom. For many children, seeing their artwork displayed publicly can build confidence, affirm their creativity, and help them understand that their voices matter.
In my classes, I guide students through projects that connect colors, shapes, symbols, and personal stories with emotional expression. Instead of focusing only on technique, I encourage students to ask: What do I feel? What do I want to say? What colors or images can express my story?
